I saved the offer on my plat. Booked a KLM flight originating out of USA for just over $1000. Will post back if the points get credited. Did NOT receive the amex email, but charge is still showing pending.
I can confirm that I was able to get this without issue. Never got the email, not when I purchased the ticket, and not after it posted.
Charge now shows posted to account on Oct. 27
20000 points shows issued on Oct. 31

I bought a totally refundable ticket for July 2024. I plan on using it.
I also had a KLM voucher that I used and after the voucher, it still came to > $1000 so it triggered.
Was the entire charge on a flight that originated in the US? What about return?
I booked one-way.
Will it work in multiple purchases? Also, what if I get a ticket with Air France and another with KLM? will it trigger?
Pretty much 95% of my offers are always for cosmetics, clothing, and wine.
Perhaps Amex is telling you that you look bad, smell worse, and are a little uptight. Take the hint.

Does not show up on my Gold amex. Maybe because je suis français… anyway Airfrance is not the least expansive and I had several times canceled flights due to strikes (explanation for french people that don’t want to work and are being paid for doing the dude with sign…)
I had this offer previously but expired (BCP), but not showing this time. Only Alaska airline offer i see (Spend 300$ get 60$ back)
It worked for me in July. I got $200 five days later.
I just came to know that there are places where people actually sell and/or give away these Amex offers if you are not using them and other buy them if they don’t have them or need more of them than they have. Not sure about the legality, but this is a thing! If someone interested just google it. I still can’t get how it actually functions unless its a gift card that one person buys and sends to another and then gets paid electronically. Tickets and other goods seem very risky to do.
