H&R Block’s MoneyStream Now Honoring Their $25 Tango Promotion

H&R Block offers a service called MoneyStream, a service which looks at your bills & income (similar to Mint.com) and sends you reminders when bills become due. Earlier this year they were offering a $25 Tango gift card if you linked specific bank accounts to help them with testing.

The fine print made it seem like everybody was eligible, but then H&R Block sent out e-mails that only those who received a targeted e-mail could participate. Naturally people were pretty angry at this bait & switch (myself included) and closed their accounts in protest.

H&R Block has decided to do the right thing and will now be honoring this promotion, you should have received the following e-mail from H&R Block:

I’m glad to see that H&R block are doing the right thing and giving consumers something that was promised to them. I think they’ve handled this whole situation poorly, but it’s always good to get a positive outcome in the end.
