The Offer
- Receive a sign up bonus of $150 when you open a new checking account with Idaho Central Credit Union at their Pocatello branch and complete the following requirements:
- Open a new checking account with a minimum balance of $100
- Have either Direct Deposit or obtain a loan (Visa, auto, RV, signature, or mortgage loan)
The Fine Print
- $150 to be deposited at time of signing up for Direct Deposit or obtaining loan in conjunction with checking account
- Account must remain open for minimum of six months from reward date or $150 will be debited from account at closing
- Membership required, based on eligibility

- All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them
Avoiding Fees
You need to keep the account open for six months otherwise they will claw back the bonus! They also offer a free checking account with no requirements, so keeping the account open shouldn’t be an issue.
Our Verdict
Really need to know if this is a hard or soft pull before deciding if it’s a good deal, because you need to apply in branch you can just ask before applying. The positive of this bonus is it’s easy to keep the account open and it has no fees and very few bonus requirements. I haven’t added it to our page of the best bank bonuses due to the fact it’s so geographically limited.
