Any idea if they extended the redemption for beyond July 1st flights?

Nominee won and she can’t use the certificates for a trip from SF to NY at a time convenient. Just wondering what others have experienced?

My nominated person won! Wonder how hard it will be to use the free tickets to the Caribbean? The rules specifically state that area will be capacity controlled.

Three days after I was notified my first nominated person won, I received emails telling me that my other three nominees won. I wonder if they had a low response rate to their first batch so they notified more? I’m curious as to capacity-controlled these tickets will be.

Got the email today notifying me I won two Travel Certificates, each redeemable for a round-trip flight. 🙂

The official rules say entrants may not nominate themselves…

Well, it’s nice of them. If you read the official rules, they value each prize (pair) of tix at $500 so the total giveaway is $50 Million dollars!
However, the official rules also state:
“Redeemed travel is subject to availability, blackout dates, and capacity controls (flights to/from Caribbean destinations subject to heightened capacity controls), and seats may not be available on all flights.”
I won a JetBlue free certificate once, and I couldn’t even use it. Say you want to go from JFK to San Diego, and you have some dates in mind. When you call to book with the certificate, they tell you “Oh, you can’t fly out on Friday, you can only fly the Wednesday before at 2 p.m., and the only qualified return flight is Tuesday at 7 a.m. That’s how these free tix work.

I wonder how many entries there’d be? Seems like decent odds with 90k “winners” although I wonder if there’s any check to see if the winners are actual healthcare workers.

There’s definitely a check. My nominated person one, and they had to send in a headshot, copy of their ID and it specifically said they were manually checking to ensure one met the criteria.

“100,000 pairs” meaning 200,000 round trip flights, meaning 400,000 one way flights? or 100,000 round trip flights?

Or 800,000 half one way flights.
