Our Verdict
Cost of JetBlue flights is tied to the cash price, so I always like to post these deals. Barclays business card has an increased offer:
FYI, the points value on these cheaper flights is also unusually high. The $31 flights cost 1300 points + $5.60, which is about 1.95 cpp.
It’s fairly well-known that the cheaper the flight, the (very slightly) better the cpp, but I believe 1.95 cpp is unprecedented (and so are $31 JB fares for that matter?).
Something to keep in mind in case more cheap fares like this are released in the future.
This was recently discussed on frequent miler I believe. His suggestion is that TrueBlue points are priced according to fare classes times price that are not just blue/blue flex/Mint. So when you have sale tickets like these you’re looking at ultradiscount economy and get the best bang for your point.
Basically when inventory is high points get a better value, somewhat independent of price
