The Offer

Ending today, Kroger has a 4x fuel points offer on all gift cards. There’s now another coupon showing for 4x on select gift cards:
- Get 4x fuel points on vacation gift cards through July 19. Unlimited use.
Eligible gift cards: Airbnb, Hotels.com, Southwest, Delta, Carnival gift cards “plus dozens more travel and amusement Gift Cards!” (I don’t see the verbiage describing which gift cards are eligible, but a Slickdeals poster sees it.)
Update: It’s working on Best Buy, Amazon, Target, etc. gift cards; it should work on anything.
The standard deal at Kroger is 2x fuel points on gift card purchases, and they’ll occasionally release offers like this one to get 4x fuel points. Login to your online account to find the coupon at your local store and load it to your card.
Our Verdict
I assume the 4x on vacation gift cards will not stack with the 4x on all gift cards (is it even possible to use two coupons on one purchase?), but who knows. 🙂 Course this only matter today, 6/21, when both coupons are active. Update: It actually does work!
There are over a dozen gift card deal coupons too. Notably, the Hotels.com discount offer will stack with the 4x vacation fuel points offer, and the bedandbreakfast, Fandango, AMC, and iTunes might too.
You can also get double fuel points on weekends this summer on non-gift card purchases; do your shopping on the weekend and get both deals at once. Remember to max out your Chase Freedom 5x grocery by the end of June.
Hat tip to Slickdeals
Loaded coupon and went and bought $500 in eBay cards. Got 6x fuelpoints instead of 4. May be stacking somehow. This was at a Kroger in GA.

Of course you can use two coupons on one purchase – think of using the (i) fee free vgc e coupon with the (ii) 4x on all gift cards e coupon.
However, with that said, I really doubt they’ll give you 8x fuel points on a gift card.
Makes sense. I’m not in Kroger area, so it’s all second-hand stuff for me, ha.
