Loyalty points from Kroger and affiliates (King Soopers, Ralph’s, etc) can now be used for regular grocery purchases as well. That’s in addition to the old option of using it for Kroger gas purchases. Apparently this was already a thing in some locations and now rolled out to all.
- Use 1,000 points to get $10 off regular grocery store purchase. (Presumably can not be used to buy gift cards, just regular goods.)
- Limit one $10 discount per day.
- Grocery redemption works by redeeming into your Kroger
Compared to using for gas: You get $1 off per gallon with 1,000 points. If you have a big 35 gallon tank, then 1,000 points can be worth $35 which is much better than the $10 grocery store use. Still, this is hugely useful for those who don’t need gas or who have too many fuel points to use on gas.
