Lounge News: Priority Pass Adds PGA Lounge In MSP & American Express To Extend Miami Lounge By 50%

Two pieces of interesting airport lounge news today.

Priority Pass Has Added The PGA Lounge At MSP

Direct link to lounge (thanks to Rapid Travel Chai)

  • Located at Minn/St. Paul MN International (Terminal 1)
  • You get US$15 credit per person per visit towards a la carte menu or golf experience, but credit cannot be combined across both
  • Waives $15 entry fee giving you access to putting green
  • Menu can be found here
  • Golf pricing found here (scroll down)

$15 isn’t a lot, especially as this is a relatively expensive lounge. Still better than nothing and adds a lounge to MSP as they had recently lost the Escape lounge (still accessible for Platinum cardholders). I like the addition of these unique lounges with fixed credits. $15 is definitely on the cheap side (they give $28 for this spirits distillery for example).

American Express To Extend Miami Centurion Lounge By 50%

Via View From The Wing

They are still waiting for final approval which is due to be decided on September 7th. You can view full details of the plan here. Plan is to add an additional 4,000 square feet. The Miami Centurion Lounge has big overcrowding issues so this will be welcomed by anybody that goes through that airport. I suspect there will still be overcrowding issues even with this expansion, but there isn’t a whole lot American Express can do about that.

The lounge is normally $15 to get in, so the $15 food credit paired with that still ends up around the $30 total value that Priority Pass pays out.
