Our Verdict

When commenting please remember you can disagree with somebody without attacking them or using bad language. I wasn’t sure whether to post this or not, but at the end of the day some readers will save money with this post so decided to post it. We try to stay politically free on this site, but it can be difficult with promotions like this. If there was a march with the opposite view point and Lyft was offering a discount we would also post.

If people can’t remain respectful in the comments then they will be closed after a period of time.

I wonder if you can change your destination mid trip or just tell the driver to drop you off someplace in between? I’m not familiar with the lyft app. Don’t think I’ll be replacing Uber anytime soon now…

People are more upset about this free Lyft ride than about Toys R Us closing?

Just remember you can still pay for Lyft using that NRA credit card 🙂

Nice; I will gladly sign up & take a free ride from Lyft as I had to go downtown Saturday anyways though luckily not joining in with the anti-constitution rally kooks.

Thanks for posting this, will never consider them for personal use. It sucks that a lot of soft commies are subscribed to this page but hell they are everywhere.

Companies need to stay out of politics, you can add Lyft to an ever growing list of companies I will never give my money to again.

Thanks for passing along the deal.

Wow, didn’t realize how easy it was to not post something ignorant and reactionary

MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

I wonder if Lyft just decided to borrow the design language of TMobile. Its like TMO created its own rideshare company.

Also, what about all those states in the middle. I dont see any rallypoints. Thats so sexist and rapist. Someone call the ambulance.

And how come Alaska is on the lower left in the hot pink pic? Thats really offensive. They should at least add a dotted line touching CA to make it more inclusive. SMH…

All of you guys saying they would stop using Lyft, stop lying to yourself. Infact there is a better idea: Ride the cheapest always. If Lyft fare < Uber fare, ride Lyft and donate the difference to your favorite cause. Empty posturing is no good.

That’s the equivalent of saying “buy made in china and donate the surplus to the homeless/unemployed.”

Not posturing just my 2cents.

Not at all an equivalent. No jobs are lost and nobody becoming homeless if we ride Lyft instead of Uber.

Nevertheless in this instance lyft is promoting changes that will result in a loss of freedoms/rights instead of increasing security and to me is not worth it; I hope now my prior analogy is clearer.

I get it. My point was: Speak with your money. If companies are putting their money behind causes, we should do so too. By not putting yourself first (i.e. not riding on a cheaper fare), you are not helping anyone’s rights.

I hope you know that Uber & Lyft aren’t making money right now. By continuing to offer discounts, they are digging themselves into a hole. And if you want to help them put there, you take the discount.

I understand your point but I disagree, cheaper in many cases is not the best option and this is one of those cases (my opinion).

I know their numbers are technically in red but their focus is to gain market share at all cost and that includes taking advantage of this situation/tragedy.

Yeah this is what I do. I use up my Amex Uber credits first every month, then I’ll use whatever is cheapest combined with the most reasonable pick up time after I use those up
