Our Verdict
Difficult to know if this is a good or bad deal without knowing what business requirements there are. If anybody goes for it, please share your experiences in the comments. For now I won’t be adding it to our list of the best business checking bonuses.

It looks like this is active again!
Additional DP: I was approved in-branch yesterday. I have a ton of Chexsystems inquiries in the last year and thought I might not get it.
Interesting DP - the branch manager offered me an additional $50 to open a personal checking account & I accepted (I think I should have negotiated for $100. Lol!). The personal bonus comes with zero requirements.
Went in today and applied in one of their Cambridge branches. No docs needed for sole proprietorship. I have maybe around ~8 Chex inquiries in the past year and was not denied, however I did previously have a personal account with them back when they had a very good rate (3+% APY) on a rewards checking account, so that might have been at play. Process took around 40 minutes from beginning to end. Thanks DoC!
Thanks for the DP, very useful!
Chex Sensitive. I was denied. Then again, I do have like 15+ inquiries in the past 6 months. Considerable majority approved of those.
(Before you say well of course you're denied, I don't think that's true, I think most banks are binary whether they care about inquiries or not. Some don't at all. The ones who do seem to deny for around 10 in the last year? I'm not going to stay under that).
Hmmm...odds not looking good for me then (not sure about my inquiry count in the last 6 months though). Will try to go in today
Did they give that reason as the specific reason for denial?
Thanks, added to this post: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/banks-credit-unions-chexsystems-inquiry-sensitive/
Cambridge Savings Bank is SP. I haven't done business accts so not positive but 99% confident.
Thanks, added DP
I hope they dont ask for biz documents. Will give it a shot
Let us know.. Thanks
other than a DBA certificate and EIN?
I believe in MA and possibly anywhere you do not need a DBA if you're doing business as your own name. Eg Will Charles DBA Will Charles needs neither a DBA nor an EIN (just his SSN).
