The Fine Print
- Registration of your Marriott Bonvoy™ Account is required. Marriott Bonvoy members who register for this promotion by May 31, 2020, will earn 2,000 bonus points per stay, starting with their second stay, during the promotion earning period.
- The promotion earning period is for stays between March 17, 2020, and June 14, 2020, at participating Marriott Bonvoy properties.
- A “stay” is defined as consecutive nights spent at the same hotel, regardless of check-in/checkout activity on any Points-eligible rate (“Qualifying Rate”).
- Rates available through most third-party online retailers and select travel agency rates do not qualify for this promotion.
- The member receiving this offer has been targeted and the offer is not transferable. Homes & Villas by Marriott International, ExecuStay®, Marriott Executive Apartments® and Marriott Vacation Club® owner-occupied weeks are not eligible for bonus Points, and nights spent while redeeming an award are not eligible for bonus Points.
- Only one room per hotel is counted toward a member’s nights or stay.

Our Verdict
Surprised it’s not a more generous promotion given COVID-19. Worth registering for just in case you forget to do it later, but not really an attractive promotion for moving stays over to Marriott.
Can I stay at Hotel A – Day 1, Hotel B – Day 2, Hotel A – Day 3, Hotel B – Day 4 for 8K bonus points or does that not work and would I need to stay Hotel A – Day 1+2, Hotel B – Day 3+4 for 4k bonus points?
Yes. Just cant check in and out to the same hotel.
Yes, Marriott for some reason always leaves out “(1 or more)” in front of the word “consecutive”, which most other hotel program include in their T&Cs. But it works the same way: “consecutive nights” simply means “1 or more consecutive nights”.
Because Marriott leaves out the “(1 or more)” part, this question gets asked over and over and over and over again, every time they put out one of their stay-based promos.
2000 points is worth $10… and not even in reality.. It definitely is not worth packing up/unpacking/ the ride between hotels per attempt at this for anyone I’d imagine.
