The Offer
- First Financial Federal Credit Union is offering a bonus of up to $100 when you open a new checking account (they also donate $50 to charity). Bonus is broken down as follows:
- $50 when you become a member
- $50 when you set up a checking account with direct deposit of $25 or more
- You can also get an additional $50 for setting up a loan
The Fine Print
- Existing members are ineligible for this offer.
- $50 reward given for new Regular Member Accounts, including Teen accounts, opened between 10/1/20 – 10/31/20. Additional $50 reward given to members that join and open a primary checking account during October, and receive at least one ACH direct deposit to checking of $25 or more by 12/31/20.
- Additional $50 reward given to members that join and receive an eligible loan during October. Membership eligibility required. $5 opening deposit required.
- Promotion excludes Health Savings (HSA), Business, Trust, Representative Payee, Custodial, Kids Club, and other special accounts; and employees and volunteers.
- Member must be in good standing on 1/15/21 in order to receive reward(s). Eligibility is determined by First Financial FCU. Maximum reward of $150 per member during the promotional period.

We have used this credit union for several decades. They really do support the local community. Just a couple of FYIs:
When my son recently opened a checking account it was a soft pull, but he had previously had a youth savings account so that might have impacted. All four of the charity options are good, Carroll County Food Sunday is a very well run local food bank. If you open the better rewards checking and dd $1000 per quarter you will earn 1.5% on balances up to $3000, which I know is not much but thought I’d mention it.
