Our Verdict
Meijer sells $200 Visa gift cards, so this is a profitable deal especially when you use a card that earns at a high rate on grocery store purchases. (Just keep in mind, not all Meijer code as grocery correctly.) Limit of one is obviously annoying.
Reader Celia tells us that some Meijer stores also sell $500 variable load cards, and this coupon works on those as well.

Tried to check out using the self checkout machine. It alerted the human cashier for assistance. She said GC requires cash or debit only but less than 24 hours ago I paid with credit without any issue. Does anyone encounter same issue? I am in Ohio.
In Ohio, went to a store and was told it was debit/cash only. Used Credit at the same Store months ago, but they said that’s been the policy forever. Went to a different store and bought a bunch with credit, no issue.
I tried again tonight. Both human and self checkout lines accepted CC but I ran into 2 human cashiers enforcing the cash or debit restriction.
Location likely burned for fraud concerns. I came across a store near me that doesn’t allow GC via checkout anymore and prompts the message to buy via cashier (YMMV if they allow CC…you got a rogue one)
Do they provide level three data?
The stores I’ve visited don’t.
Has anyone actually seen a variable load $500 visa at Meijer? Seen the $500 variable MC, but never a visa.
I saw them. But they were oos for a while. Even the 200’s are oos in my neighboring stores. Hopefully they get more stock.
I went back to today to my location to use my mom’s account and noticed they no longer carry the 200 Visas, only the black and floral variables, which they actually restocked with a bunch more.
Bought two today with separate accounts, there were plenty at my location in Chicago North suburbs, maybe about 40 or so. My store started carrying them less than 6 months ago.
