On April 15 Merrill Edge stopped offering brokerage bonuses, no reason was given. It looks like they have again entered the brokerage bonus market but unfortunately the maximum offer is for $600. This isn’t as good as the previous high of $900 and we’d recommend waiting for that offer to return.

This says new customers. Does anyone know if new customer is defined as a time period without an account? Some banks define new customer as not being a customer for 12 months. I closed my Merrill account May, 2020.
As an existing Merrill customer, I’ve been given multiple bonuses over the years (without having to close my account), as long as I deposited a certain amount of money. They never cared if I was a new or existing customer, just that I was transferring in a nice chunk of change.
But of course, your mileage may vary!

Sometimes Merrill brings back expired coupon code without announcing it. E.g. 1000ME still works as of couple weeks ago but looks to be expired today.

But the plus point is, you need to keep your stuff, in the account for only 6 mth,s as opposed to, TdAmeritrade or ally Brokerage.
