Microsoft Rewards Program Adds ‘Rebates’ Shopping Portal

The Microsoft Rewards program has long offered points for using Bing search engine, along with some extra points for taking quizzes and the like.

Reader WS reached out to let us know that they are currently in beta offering ‘Rebates’ which seems to basically work like a shopping portal (like Ebates or Topcashback). Payment is via Paypal.

We’ll have to see if they offer any high rates, but likely it’ll be similar to other portal rates.

I remember the eBay/PayPal bing 16-24% stack as a kid. Too bad I wasn’t MSing at that point.

It was 8-35% IIRC.

It appears you were more advanced than I was at the time – a 17 year old kid.

This is a little exciting given the awesome Bing Cashback promotions they had in the past.

Are you logged into your Microsoft rewards account? If so, I wonder if it’s only showing for certain people because it’s a beta.

Topcashback seems far superior in terms of their rates. Although, if you’re shopping for a surface device or Xbox, this is better. No surprise there, lol.

So… Bing Cashback, which ended back around 2010 (RIP, it had some good rates), might be back in another name?

Good times! I remember getting 35% off at HP.com on a few laptops back then.
