No, New Transfer Rules Have Not Been Introduced By Chase

Earlier today both OMaaT and VFTW (now deleted) authored posts stating that Chase has introduced new rules when it comes to transferring points. A number of readers reached out asking what is going on, to put it simply nothing has changed. When transferring Chase Ultimate Rewards points to a travel partner you can only transfer points to a frequent travel program that is owned by you or an authorized user. The thing is this doesn’t change the fact that you can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to yourself or another member in your household (points pooling). Late last year there was a rumor circulating that Chase would end points pooling, that has not been introduced as of yet and I haven’t heard anything stating it will be introduced.
