Not Following Us On Twitter? You’re Missing Out

Before I started this site, I didn’t really “get” twitter. Now I use it constantly! A lot of readers already follow us on Twitter, but if you don’t – you should! Here’s a few reasons why:

  • Whenever I add a deal to the daily deals page, I tweet about it (I try to preface these with DD:) to make it easier to sort. I also do this whenever I add a bank account bonus to the best bonus page.
  • I tweet out links to useful comments on the site. Despite the fact that we’re regularly getting 300+ new comments every day, I read each and every one (and try to respond to those that need responding to). A lot of information is shared and some of that information is on old posts that you wouldn’t think to check. Whenever there is a particularly interesting comment, I’ll tweet a link to it.
  • I answer questions and give advice. This obviously isn’t restricted to Twitter, I also do this on the blog but Twitter is a great way to keep in touch.
  • Each post is automatically tweeted. In this way you can use Twitter as an RSS feed, displaying all new posts (other random tweets like above).

Obviously using and following us on Twitter isn’t a requirement and you’ll still get great value even if you don’t, but it is worth doing if you use Twitter on even a somewhat regular basis. You can also follow @chucksth as well.

don’t use twitter. Signed up 1x last year, found it boring/racist/uninformative, and I kept getting tweets from Arab countries, Don’t know why. Hard to cancel it out also. It serves a purpose, maybe for Presidents but not here.

Would rather just follow the RSS feed.

I like the twitter a lot! I actually get most of the deal notices from the twitter feed! Thanks Doctor of Credit! Keep it up!

Don’t let Donald Trump rub on you and become too addicted to Twitter 😉

I will never create an account on Twitter, Facebook, or any other social media site. Please don’t go down the path of posting important information in those walled gardens.

You’re doing it right, @Drofcredit. Your Twitter approach is great and appreciated. I get here a variety of ways in a week: straight to the URL from my browser on PC or phone, clicking on links from your Twitter feed or from people linking to you on other sites. As it happens I am a no-more-Facebook guy but I understand it’s how some people organize their online world so when bloggers focus there I just miss out on that dimension. But Twitter? Yes. Don’t go changing.

If you already read the website, reading Twitter just seems redundant

Random: Just noticed Chase southwest plus (not premier) has a 50,000 sign up bonus and only $69 fee. Plus you can redeem the points for a $500 gift card.
(Btw the following Huntington bank post has some issue that there is no comment box).

I’m a Twitter fan. You can turn off tweets from anyone you don’t want to hear from, and it’s a great supplementary forum for conversation. Hashtags, as much of a joke as they’ve been become, are an easy way to find other people interested in similar topics. Keep it up!
