eBay enacted a new rule that eBay gift cards can’t be used for third-party gift cards, but they are waiving it for one month.
The month has now started, and eBay gift cards are working to buy third party gift cards.
Update: Based on some reports, it seems the $2k/60 rule is in effect, unfortunately.
Stack the Deal
There are a bunch of ways to stack discounts when using up your eBay gift cards:
- 10% back in Bucks if you were targeted
- $15 off $75 on most things on eBay (one time use) if you were targeted
- Lots of discounted gift cards are currently available
- As always, go through a shopping portal; currently, 1.2% on GivingAssistant or 1.3% on iConsumer look best
I’m at $2734.80 in the past 60 days after buying $400 worth of gift cards today so it doesn’t look like 2k/60 is being enforces or was at least reset at some point in the recent past.
DAMN YOU PAYPAL! What a tease to watch all this from the side lines… Will be under the $2k/60 rule for another MONTH…
10% ebay bucks, last chance to use gift cards, and $15 of $75. heck of a day. Going to get my last major gift card purchase from ebay in today i guess.
Can someone confirm its working before i go and get a pretty expensive gift card using my 6% cash back amex at the super market.
I was able to buy third party gift cards with eBay gift cards today. Just remember the $2k/60 rule before going out to buy eBay gift cards.
If it goes over my 2K/day day limit i’ll give the gift card to my mom to make the order for me. She also received the 10% offer but no $15. Only concern is if ebay sees it as trying to circumvent the rules, but the accounts do belong to different individuals at different addresses.
Is there still a velocity limit? You think?
Looks like there is, I’ll add that to the post.
Yes, the 15.00 comes in a separate email.
The additional Best Buy Credit comes as a separate code with an expiration date, not as pure BB credit all on one card, correct?
Yes
And 10X Ebay Bucks is back on $50 spend….Right on time!
