Found an offer for 10% back on EVEN hotels on my IHG biz card, but in the fine print it says “Offer only good at Avid hotels” (???) Good for >$100, $54 max, until 3/18/2024.
I got it on my CSR. I never get IHG offers on my IHG card. Pretty stupid. But I’m ok as I have a stay tomorrow at a Crowne Plaza and will save $20 on it. Better than an extra 2000 IHG points, I suppose.
be warned, chase doesn’t always honor these things. had a bad experience with them recently specifically with the IHG offer in November. They claimed I didn’t add it to my card until after the charge but their records were incorrect. since i didn’t have a way to prove it i was SOL. anyway, amex offers, much more reliable.
anyone use MaxRewards or a similar service to automatically choose these offers? I hate having to go into all my different apps for myself and P1 and P2 to activate all these offers. I just don’t know if paying for the $7 monthly fee will save me more in the end.
The issue with such credit card management tools is 1) privacy intrusion, 2) if they are always automatically added, you never know what was added because you would never be bothered to look and thus never be incentivized to use them.

Rakuten is 5% on most IHG brands rn. Until this week I had never thought about cashback portals for hotel reservations. Sharing in case someone else never thought about it either!
i used this at venetian las vegas last month, it did not trigger.
