Yesterday I added the ability for AMP (accelerated mobile pages) to work properly on the site. AMP is an open source initiative to make mobile browsing faster. If you do a google search and our site appears in the listings you should automatically be directed to the AMP site (as well as it displaying a little icon letting you know that the site is AMP enabled).
If you’d like to view any post (pages and the home page don’t work currently, hopefully that will be added as functionality in the future) you can simply add /amp onto the end of the URL and it’ll show the AMP site. For example you can view this post on the AMP site by clicking here (https://www.doctorofcredit.com/now-support-amp-accelerated-mobile-pages-faster-mobile-site/amp). I still have plans to completely overhaul the design of the site sometime this year, but I’ve also been saying that for several years so let’s see if I get around to it or not. The AMP site seems to be generating significantly less revenue than the normal site (on a per thousand impressions basis), but as always I want to put readers first so here we are.
If you have any other suggestions on how to improve the site or want to give feedback on the AMP site then please do so in the comments below.
