NRA Complete Rewards Visa Card Review – 5% Cashback On Gas & Sporting Good Stores + $40 Sign Up Bonus [Discontinued]

Update: This card is no longer accepting new sign ups.

I know that this is going to be a controversial post, but NRA offers the complete rewards Visa card and it offers 5% cash back in two categories with no caps so it’s worth a look.

Our Verdict

FNBO is sensitive to too many inquiries so most readers won’t be eligible. The card also provides support for the NRA, you can read more about the financials of how these co-branded/affinity programs work here. 5% cash back on gas is the best that is offered but there is a few other cards that also offers this. As far as I know 5% cash back on sporting good store purchases is also the best offered. 1% cash back on all other purchases isn’t worth considering as you can get 2%+ cash back on all purchases. I’m not interested in moderating a conversation about the NRA, so it would be nice if readers just stick to discussing the card benefits instead.

I just got a mailer today saying PenFed is acquiring my First Bankcards NRA card, and will begin servicing it on April 24, 2020. I’m guessing they bought up all NRA cards. The card will be converted to the PenFed Platinum Rewards card.

Funny enough I’m already a PenFed member and already have their (discontinued) 5% gas card

Pretty sure this card has been discontinued on account of political pressure from the left. Should probably just remove this post.

This page is still useful for those of us with the card and are waiting for news of confirmation when the existing contract will end.

Per Visa supplier locator, Burlington Coat Factory shows up as 5941 – SPORTING GOODS STORES but it’s actually NOT according to bank statements (Retail/Department Stores). I was hopeful for few weeks there.

DoC, Looks like this is dead, or, not taking new sign-ups. Not a big surprise with all the latest NRA news.

just tried to apply, shows an error in the balance transfer tab.
don’t want a balance transfer, seems to be an internal error.
I’ve just sent an email to tech dept at that issuing bank.

this bank is also issuing a 2% cashback card now as well according to their website, wonder if I should call and ask to apply for both at one time, with only one credit pull (if this is even possible) ?? I actually don’t have a 2% cashback card, would be nice.
