  • Hudson River Community Credit Union (HRCCU) is offering a bonus of $250 when you open a new checking or savings account and complete the following requirements:
    • Perform 4 HRCCU Visa debit card purchases within 60 days
    • Have your direct deposit made to this account within 60 days (mininum of two and need to total $500 or more)

The Fine Print

  • Offer valid for new member opening a checking or savings account only.
  • New member cannot be a joint owner on another account nor have any existing HRCCU accounts.
    Bonus/Account Information: Offer is not available to existing HRCCU members or those whose accounts have been closed within 90 days or closed with a negative balance.
  • To receive the $250 bonus: 1) Open a checking or savings account, subject to approval; 2) Perform 4 HRCCU Visa ® Debit Card purchases within 60 days; AND 3) Have your direct deposit made to this account within 60 days. There must be a minimum of 2 direct deposits totaling $500 or more made to this account. Your direct deposit needs to be an electronic deposit of your paycheck, pension or government benefits (such as Social Security) from your employer or the government.
  • Upon validation of the requirements, HRCCU will deposit the bonus into your account within 10 business days.
  • Bonuses are considered interest and will be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT
  • Account Closing: If the checking or savings account are closed or direct deposits are terminated by the member or HRCCU within six months, we will deduct the bonus amount.
  • All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them
