Our Verdict
Eligible brands aren’t that exciting. Make sure to use a credit card that earns at a high rate on office supply store purchases. You also get 2% back in Office Depot/Max rewards if you’re enrolled, though rewards are capped at $200 in spend per quarter on gift cards ($4). And possibly more from Visa SavingsEdge as well.
PITA. The Gap card pictured wasn’t on the rack, so I asked if I could get an Old Navy card instead, they said sure. The register didn’t trigger the discount automatically. It took the cashier and manager 20 minutes to try different things and eventually they gave up and manually added a $10 discount. I don’t think I’d bother with this again.
Fwiw I purchased a $15 3rd party gift card after the Visa SavingsEdge deal came out, (I enrolled my credit card & activated the offer) but I have yet to get the $1.50 statement credit.
Same here, no statement credit. My GC purchase was only on 2/5/18 though, so i’m not quite worried yet.

ohmygosh, just came to report the same thing! I got a $1.50 “adjustment” on my card. Original purchase 2/1, statement credit posted 2/19. It was on my CIP so it must have disappeared for a couple days on me since I just spotted it. I’m shocked!

lame. Should at least be no limits if gift card brands are going to suck.
It’s an instant discount, so usually you can just do multiple transactions and get it multiple times.
Does it stack with the visa savings edge offer?
