Our Verdict
Minimum $100 gets the rewards bonus. Max this out with $300 worth of gift card purchases. Should be able to buy the full $300 in one transaction. Use your INK Plus/Cash card for 5x or your SimplyCash for 5%.
The appeal of this offer will obviously depend entirely on how you value Office Depot rewards. I usually find things difficult to use at real value, and usually end up paying a premium to use up rewards like these for items I could have gotten cheaper elsewhere.
If you do value these, 20% bonus on Shell and Uber is terrific, and some of the others could be interesting as well.

Be aware that they rigged their system not to issue a rewards certificate for these unless you call. I never received a rewards certificate in my account and yet the system was showing paid. I had to call because they claim they could not fix it through chat. Frustrating to say the least.

Walking through the store was quite depressing, which seems to to be the case on a lot of these gift card deal runs – I’m thinking of my multiple trips to office depot and jcpenny for Wells Fargo Go Far Rewards a few years ago.
Any idea for how long these rewards are valid before they expire?
Is OD/OM still doing the $15 off $300 in VGM 1 week per month this year? Or did they kill it for 2020?

Postage stamps can be good way to redeem the rewards. There’s a limit to how many stamps most people need nowadays though.
You could always resell them, but at a loss, so you end up where you started

I was considering this deal, then I read that Office Depot rewards can NOT be used to purchase gift cards. Almost everything else OD sells I can find cheaper elsewhere.

Rite Aid sometimes has very good deals, like last week’s $20 Visa rebate card on $50 purchase of useful stuff like paper goods. OfficeMax and Staples not so much.
I buy paper towels and toilet paper with rewards by price matching with Target or Walmart.
But I have no need for any of these gift cards 🙁
ODOM will PM to AMZN, etc. Also, 20% coupons are pretty common (not great, but softens the blow a bit), and… you can buy postage stamps with Rewards at face value.
