The Offer
- Receive up to $250 when you open a new benefits checking account from First Federal Lakewood (FFL)
- Earn $10 per month when you receive a total of $500 or more in direct deposits per month (based on calendar month), up to a maximum of $120

The Fine Print
- Minimum of $50 to open account
- You must enroll for eStatements within 60 days of account opening
- New customers only, you’re considered a new customer if you don’t currently hold or haven’t held a FFL checking account within the last six months

No monthly service fee is charged. We are unsure on whether they have an early account termination fee or not due to them not publicly disclosing their fee schedule.
Our Verdict
If you want to do this deal, I’d recommend signing up for it now as it’s about to expire. That said it’s not a fantastic deal, I personally am not a massive fan of bonuses that go over multiple months – you’d most likely be better off doing the Santander deal if you are interested in these.
The debit card transaction bonus is quite low, in most cases you’ll be better putting the transaction on a rewards earning credit card which really restricts this bonus to $130 in total. If you’re thinking about doing this offer, I’d recommend looking at the best deals currently available first.
