The Offer

Direct link to offer

  • Panera Bread is offering a free bagel with proof of COVID-19 vaccine from July 2 – 4

The Fine Print

  • No purchase required. One (1) free bagel per COVID vaccinated customer per day from 7/2-7/4/2021 in participating U.S. bakery-cafes. Spreads not included. In-cafe only. Our local Panera said they were not participating. YMMV

Just went to local Panera in NJ, and was told by a server she is not aware of this offer.
Her attitude felt rude during the encounter, but I did not argue or cause a scene since I could not find an official offer by Panera.
Sent an email to Panera customer care to hopefully clarify this.

Similar cases happened multiple times to me before with other restaurants, which (tried to) not honoring the deal advertised, especially at franchised ones.

Would love to hear if anyone else had any success.

Will go great with my monthly (free) coffee…. 🙂 We also much like their soups too, even the bread-bowls makin’ a come back in some markets.. (so they make $$ on us coming back more often, and marketing like this, well that’s just fine by me. thanks for the news DoC)

Sit. Stay. Roll over. Get the vax. Good boy, here’s a treat.

This is hilarious, the reality is the majority of people got vaccinated early and on their own accord because it was the appropriate decision from a risk benefit standpoint. What we’re seeing now is a campaign to give cash, food, and lottery incentives to degenerates who are too stupid to make the right choice on their own but are easily swayed by cheap gimmicks. You clowns would do anything for a lottery ticket lmfao

Some of us won’t get it no matter what free stuff they may entice us with!!

Unfortunately we have no vaccine to immunize you from being a huge retard, Bryan. But hey, keep fighting the imaginary fight, you’re doing great buddy!

cause all the young people at zero risk of covid getting myocarditis and blood clots from the vax are “smart” and should totally just trust the science. stop being a tool and an NPC, bud

Do you have to bring your physical copy of the vaccination card, or will a photo suffice?

FYI, butter is typically free on request with standard bagel orders at Panera.

I’m seeing some outrage already from people who either have no idea what’s in a Panera bagel, or think that a bagel will single-handedly cause heart attacks and chronic illnesses over one long weekend that for most Americans will be a drunken barbecue bacchanalia anyway.

So in others words, crowds of college students and homeless people will be treating Panera as soup kitchens all through Independence Day weekend? Omigosh that’s so awesome. As poor people also have kids, I will be abstaining.

To get one measly free bagel? What are you on about?

Panera gives free bagels and coffee away on a fairly regular basis. Where are the huge lines?

It is one free bagel. Not exactly a soup kitchen.

How can you be a reader of a website that is about discounts, bonuses, and free food and then complain about poor people?

That’s me for sure. I live close to a Panera and have been getting free caffeine and freebies for 8 months. Free bagel, sure.

Free heart inflammation and diabetes for all the young people who have very low statistical chance of getting seriously ill from the virus! #ilovescience and #corporatevirtuesignaling

This comment about virtue signaling is in itself #virtuesignaling.

By the way, diabetes doesn’t work that way, especially not over one weekend.

I for one am super happy to give 16 year olds experimental drug therapy and give them heart disease and clots because the NPC’s told me to.
