Our Verdict
Really sweet deal, seems to be publicly available. Obviously most of us already have Paypal accounts, but if you’ve been thinking of having a separate business account (fine print indicates business accounts are eligible) or having a separate account for your P2, this is nice bonus. I don’t think we’ve ever seen this much before, just maybe some $5 or $10 offers.
Hat tip to SD
I didn’t see mine in my offers section. But I made a purchase at walmart.com and there was the offer after I selected the paypal payment option. It’s an offer for paypal credit if you don’t have it already. I tried using it a second time with a different e-mail. Didn’t work.
Thank you, I was waiting for their follow-up email. Never got one but I see it now at checkout.
It’s been 48 hours and no $20 showing up. Thanks for wasting my time Paypal.
18K is very small number but then most people lready has PayPal.
Is it safe to assume that if the page is still up and offer is showing then the limit hasn’t been hit?
No, it’s never safe to assume anything when it comes to paypal. They probably won’t take the page down even after the promo ends on 12/9.
i just signed up and got this message “Thanks for signing up to PayPal.
Within the next 48 hours you will receive a $20 PayPal offer within your PayPal account to spend by 16th December 2019.”
It has been over 48 hours, I still didn’t see the $20? What to do?
i just received the following email “We’re experiencing a technical glitch…..and we’re sorry!

We haven’t forgotten…
You recently signed up for PayPal and by doing so you’re due to receive a $20 offer to spend online with PayPal.
This usually takes up to 48 hours but unfortunately due to an unexpected technical glitch this is taking a little longer than expected.
Please rest assured that we’re working hard to resolve this and that your $20 offer will be within your PayPal shortly.
You will receive another email communication from us to confirm when this offer is available for you to use.
The PayPal Team.”
Received the same email. I actually called regarding this and was told that there ‘s no code to use , just buy something over $30, the discount will be automatically applied. I didn’t try , so not sure what she said is correct or not ?
she’s right according to the terms that i read. it says that the deal will be listed in your Offers section.
Any place that accepts paypal. Must not have paypal credit already, though.
I received the same email. I haven’t heard anything since and didn’t see any credit in my Offers section. I decided to make a $30+ purchase from Walmart. After I placed the order, my order confirmation email from PayPal deducted $20 from my total, calling it a “Special Offer.” It might be worth the risk to place an order and hope the credit shows after the fact.
Was store GC purchase allowed with this offer?
See my message from 12/10.
PayPal emailed me that they are experiencing some glitch and that’s why the $20 off offer couldn’t be sent within 48 hours. It has been 7 days since the offer came out . It remains to be seen if PayPal extends the deadline to use the offer by.
Limited to first 18,000.
hmm, can you have more than one business Paypal account?
Be the DP
99.9% sure it is one personal and and one business per one person. now if you can work around that try it if worth the risk, but i know paypal is pretty strict and theyll ban you if they find out.
I’m up to 10 accounts
I signed up back when it was 10 for the referrer and 10 for the new sign up. I have yet to get my credit, neither has my referrer
Same here. We’re waiting almost 2 months for the credit now.
+1
Yup. Referred 2 people nearly 2 months ago and nothing for me or either one of them
I also signed up for the PP Cashback MasterCard. Every time I use it with Google Pay, it refuses to run as credit and will draw from my bank account to pay. What a load of crap. That’s what I get for being greedy for the extra .5%
