Are there any portal or discount stacking opportunities for this at all (besides SWP)?
I’m also trying to decide which distributor to buy from and I’m seeing a lot of quality control issues on Amazon.

Back on Google Store as well. Of course, cannot stack with the $100 superfan codes from last month.

Google phones are terrible. Will never buy another google phone after my Nexus failed just over a year due to hardware and device issues. Would not recommend any google phones to anyone ever

My Nexus 5x is still going strong, but they are prone to issues apparently. Alas, the Chase app no longer works on it. Others to come, surely.

Hmm, not really sure how informed you are if going by personal experience. Same is true for almost all smartphone makers, these are complex devices that most people can’t even figure out how to use properly.

If you feel strongly about it, leave a one-star review on the Google Maps entry for a random Google store of your choice. That’ll show ’em!

In the Google Store there is a black Friday now. Pixel 6a for 299$, Pixel 7 for 499$ and Pixel Pro for 749$.
Plus you might get 100$ store credit if someone refer you, who bought from Google Store previously…

It’s also $299 on Mint Mobile and you can get 12 months of 4gb service for $90 if you keep your current number

It’s 10% back in Google store credit, not a discount of 10% off.

10% off, in the form of store credit. Odds are you’re gonna need a case, charger, cable etc you could use it on

A fantastic price for a Pixel 6A.

The fantastic price was $150 + free Pixel Bud As with a trade in of a 3a. Now that was a freaking STEAL.

that’s the price i woulda actually tried it at. for me, the Pixels aren’t worth the price – no SD card, and worse specs than comparably-priced Motorolas.

The 6pro (or the 7pro) are close to worthwhile specs-wise, but no SD card means you gotta make sure the internal storage is enough. Unless you just love storing everything in the cloud (i don’t) and streaming all your music (no thanks)

I mean I assume you probably don’t fill up the whole 128-512gb in one go so you could easily use a USB stick or some other solution. Sd cards is a dying feature that majority of customers don’t require.

Me personally I like the pixels because they don’t have a bunch of custom/bloatware on them and receive quick updates.

see, i’ve heard the opposite re: bloatware. motos have less than pixels. or do i have that wrong? is it more that “they both have less than Samsung”?

Bockrr

Pixels essentially come with stock android. I’m sure there are some Pixel specific things under the hood like voicemail controls and camera processing but no bloatware. And afaik they are basically first in line for OS updates, no waiting 6 months or a year like with some brands. Motorola was part of the (abandoned?) Android One initiative to get rid of all the unessential custom software and skins and launchers that used to plague a lot of phones. So they are probably similar in this regard although I haven’t had a Moto in 5 years or so.

The fantastic price was a Pixel 6A and $50 google store credit for an A71 5G and *just the taxes* on $350.

Did this 3a to 6a deal and then traded the 6a in for $800 towards a 7 Pro so the 7 Pro only cost me $250 plus free Pixel buds A

Where did you trade in 6a for 800$ towards 7 pro? I found none of the retailers are accepting 6A tradeins

Also take note that Google price matches. If you bought a 6a direct from the Google store in the past 2 weeks you can get a price adjustment for the difference through chat support.

They price match through the end of your return window (usually 30 days after purchase date)

Kafka

To save people the trouble, they don’t price match if you got a trade-in.
Also, it’s 30 days after you receive the device. Really nice little touch for people with rural mail.
