Reader JJ reports seeing an increased referral bonus for Plastiq of 2,500 FFD (free processing dollars) for the referrer and 1,000 FFD for new member. I’m seeing the same in my Plastiq login, and it seems to be showing as the public offer at this link; hopefully this is true for everyone.
This offer does have a higher spend requirement of $2,500 before you get the 2,500/1,000 bonus – after the new member spends $2,500 with regular paid processing, then the referrer will get 2,500 in free processing and the new member will get 1,000 in free processing.
Based on the standard 2.85% processing fee: 2,500 FFD can be valued at $71.25 and 1,000 FFD can be valued at $28.50. I don’t think the standard referral bonus was ever so high in the past. (It had always been 1,000/500 and then was lowered to 100/50. Now it’s up to 2,500/1,000.)
Can anyone share their referral link for 1000 FFD? Can it be posted publicly?
No referrals in the comments! I don’t recall – we might have a referral thread up somewhere. My referral is showing 2,500/1,000 offer if you want to use that, it’s in the original Plastiq review.

Where do you see that? When I click the referral link, it shows a page to sign up. Looks good, I think?
Yes, but after I enter my email to sign up, it send me a link to confirm. I then click on the link where it asks me to signup with more info. That’s where it shows this error
You can contact Plastiq support. It sounds like you are getting a signup processing error, unrelated to the referral tracking.
Hey Chuck, when I contacted plastiq support with your referral. They asked me to verify your email address. Since I’m guessing that its not public, I just told them I got the referral from a public blog.
And what did they say?
They were able to attach it manually, but it’s a $500 ffd referral

I don’t see any info about the bonus when I follow your link from the original Plastiq review. How do I make sure I do receive it if I follow your link to sign up?

It has been this way since January I believe, but keep in mind the person referred now needs to spend $2500 on Plastiq within 30 days of signup. That’s a big hurdle.
In the past, I have had difficulty in getting Plastiq to fulfil its promotional offers. So generally, I find it is not worth going out of my way to take advantage of them. Last month, I did complete a targeted promotion last month. So I’ll know in a bit whether the pattern continues.
The referal email I got was only for biz accounts, and said they would be looking closely for duplicate accounts. Seems less likely that one could refer a spouse or something.
