Rakuten has announced that the Rakuten Marketplace will close on September 15th, 2020. The Rakuten shopping portal will remain open. I always thought it was weird that they used the same branding for the market place and shopping portal and it would sometimes cause confusion on the blog as well. It looks like the marketplace is being shuttered rather than being rebranded though.
