TD Bank has an offer to encourage summer reading for children ages Kindergarten through 5th grade.

The Fine Print

• One coupon per customer during the promotional period
• Cannot be combined with any other offer and cannot be redeemed online or by phone
• Valid June 1, 2016 through August 31, 2016, for children in Kindergarten through 5^th grade
• Offer valid in the United States only and must be redeemed by August 31, 2016
• $5 monthly fee, waived for those under the age of 18

Our Verdict

Always nice to see incentives for child education. In this case, the account will likely fall under the parent’s name since the child is a minor. This will probably result in a Chex inquiry under the parent’s name, so keep that in mind if you are Chex sensitive.

Also note that TD Bank is on the East Coast, and this won’t work for those not in their footprint.
