Does Discover checking use Chex/EWS/anything else? If not, then an easy $50 on SB I believe

Also for the Savings bonus, can you still take it out immediately? Does a qualifying deposit include Wealthfront LOC? Bc then you could use $25k Wealthfront LOC to Discover then pay back the LOC from Discover immediately once it posts and pocket the $200, right?

Is the bonus dead? It says until June 13th online.

Can you guide me.

Some Questions:

1.If this is a once in a lifetime bonus according to discover and there are no fees, is there any reason to close the account? Is it better to leave it open for the possibility of receiving targeted adds?

2. Could I theoretically have my sister also open an account and send her 25k from my account temporarily so she also gets $250? (this is not a question of trust, just if it works logistically and doesn’t flag either of us)

I believe funds have to be “new to Discover” so you would need to transfer it to your friend’s bank and then push it over. I think after that you could transfer back to your Discover acct.

Agree that there’s no reason to close, it’s been a pretty good hub account for me.

I did something similar, moving the cash from my Discover account into a different account and P2 used to fund their account.

The above link to the offer is active but, in the offer details on the Discover site, it lists June 13 as the expiration date. Has anyone had luck applying the code after that date?

No good. Discover doesn’t allow new user to use Zelle for 90 days. I closed my account and bank elsewhere with immediate Zelle. Lol…

My personal DP is that the cancel trick didn’t seem to work as the tracker only shows the actual dollar amount that was deposited. The amount I scheduled and then cancelled 30 minutes later doesn’t appear in the tracker as far as I can tell.

Did you do it during business hours?

Did you do different amounts each time?

yeah, neither tracked. I did the first one in under 10 minutes and it never tracked so I waited 30 minutes on the second one. Same result.

I had transferred $16K in so I will still get the $150 bonus regardless.

any idea on whether this is truly lifetime language or would 7-8 years do the trick and go again?
