- Part 6: Interview with a Professional Uber/Lyft Driver – Why Uber Now Supports Multiple Stops in the App by Travel With Grant. When this was announced I didn’t even think about Uber sending trip requests when a ride was almost at their destination, makes a lot of sense.
- What’s my credit score? Alexa can help by CNN. Keep in mind you still need an Experian account and then need to give Alexa access to it. This is via the ‘skill’ function those devices provide. Personally I’d be staying well away from this sort of thing.
- Forget your checked luggage. This airline is weighing passengers by CNBC. It’s actually quite interesting on why they want this data. I wonder if they will be providing any incentives for getting on the scale.
- The problem with that NY Times Travel gig by Wandering Aramean. 100% agree with Seth. This is just lazy journalism that is designed solely to build hype over the job posting rather than actually provide useful content from the 52 destination series. I’m not interested in reading from somebody who has spent less than a week somewhere and has been doing that for the last 50 weeks. It’s why I hate most travel blogging in general, people don’t have anything insightful to say because they haven’t spent long enough somewhere to get a true feel for it.
CNBC article is click-bait garbage. Headline implies weighing passengers to determine cost (because that’s why checked bags are weighed) when in fact the entire content of the article discusses it is for updated safety/demographic data.
I think it’s insane the airlines get on my ass if my carry on is 8 kg rather than 7 kg when I’m surrounded by spherical people who contribute twice as much mass than I do.
