Recap: CFPB To Drop Public Database?, Amazon In Car Delivery & More

  • Mulvaney to drop public complaints against firms, change CFPB name by American Banker. The public database is a key component of the CFPB (or BCFP if you want). If it’s not publicly accessible then I hope at the very least reporters will have access to the database.
  • Amazon is now doing free in car delivery (our affiliate link). Idea is that items can be delivered to your car when you’re at work/home. It’s an extension of the Amazon Home Key thing, I guess some people are more comfortable with this than giving a delivery agent access to your home?

The link above for the Southwest sale goes to the main Running with Miles page. Here is a direct link to the article: https://runningwithmiles.boardingarea.com/stack-southwest-gift-card-sale-airfare-sale-big-savings/

William Charles Here’s some awesome news that might be of use to some of your readers. That Amazon in car delivery page you linked to has this tidbit down under the FAQ question How does the Amazon Key App connect with my Volvo vehicle?
Amazon Key enables in-car deliveries by linking your Amazon Prime account with your Volvo On Call account. Customers with 2015 model year or newer Volvo vehicles can activate their Volvo On Call connected service subscription within the Volvo On Call app. For model year 2015-2017, Volvo offers a free 1-year subscription to Prime members, and for model year 2018 or newer, Volvo offers a free 4-year subscription. Visit the Volvo On Call website to learn more.

I went to the Volvo On Call website and it didn’t have any info. So I emailed Volvo customer care team. After a couple emails back and forth, they emailed me to say that they are giving me 12 months of service on the Volvo On Call app – a $200 value!

Hat tip to you DOC for telling me about the Amazon In Car delivery and hat tip to the folks on the SwedeSpeed forum who pointed out the free 1-year subscription offer.

Another self-inflicted wound by GOP, easy for Dems to exploit in midterms.

My car is too old to even check if it is eligible. I knew it wasn’t anyway, since I only have physical keys.

Mulvaney is actually telling bankers how to lobby lawmakers to put an end to his agency. In return he wants campaign contributions. And we know what party he is from but we can’t talk about it here because that is hateful.

Don’t fight fair when there is no sense of fairness for one party. Anyway, enough of this hate speech.

I have a Volvo that has the On-Call feature, but I currently don’t pay the monthly or annual fee for it. I’ve been happy with Amazon leaving packages on my front porch, so I don’t see enough benefit with in-car delivery to bother signing up for Volvo On-Call. But if I had experienced package theft, I would consider it. I do want one or two other features that Volvo On-Call provides, but I don’t think the service is worth the price.

This is not good at all. I’m actually having to file a complaint against a business today. I wonder if we can file a complaint again Mulvaney.

He actually told banking executives yesterday that if they want favors to pay up. Have you tried that?
