Thanks for saving me a click. This is why I love DoC.
UV is good at disinfecting surfaces, but with the downside of accelerating the deterioration of some materials (fading colors, making plastics/elastics brittle, etc), in addition to that humans shouldn’t be around while UV is being used. They’ll have to replace things in the cabin years earlier than they otherwise would have, increasing costs. (Their claimed estimate of costs in the linked article seems to be just a matter of the cost of buying the UV device, divided by the number of flights expected to happen in the expected life of the device.) I don’t know how much health benefit it really has either, since surface transmission while the virus is still viable (not just nonviable fragments being detected) seems to be pretty rare for Covid compared to air-based transmission. Getting plenty of outside air circulated into the cabin between flights and wiping down the armrests/handles would probably be as effective in health outcomes.
It’s a shame that UVC devices can’t do anything while passengers are actually on the plane.
Would be better if we could get the UV inside the pax
Parts Unknown LOL 10/10
Would be better if we could get some disinfectant directly into the body, kinda like to cleanse it. I’m sure it’s something we are looking at
Didn’t save the trump crony Hermann cain, who i read was in hospital for 4 weeks after not wearing a mask at tulsa rally.
Hey rednecks if you are going to pose as anti science losers stop using up valuable hospital resources. Maybe pray to your useless god instead. Go home and die there. Bloody freeloaders.
Who are you talking to?
Himself. Based on his posting history, every thread on DoC is his own personal political echo chamber. The topic could be about something completely different, and he’ll still shitpost everywhere.
Heh, and the rioters surely aren’t freeloaders of society. I like how liberal tards are okay with using slurs like redneck but are so appalled by slurs against other races. The hypocrisy is palpable.
Why are you even here? Go take your useless opinions to some other useless forum. YouTube comments sound like a place you might fit in.
PAUL Hey! DoC is not a useless forum!
We don’t take kindly to folks who don’t take kindly around here.
I think you misunderstood @blissfulapathy.
I’m calling other forums useless. Not Docs.
lol no I got you. Just you said “some other useless forum”, the wording could imply this forum is useless. Like if debit goes to some *other* useless forum, debit’s coming from a useless forum.
You’re just mad you didn’t get to make the UV light joke first. Bad form.
“Could” undercut Uber and Lyft would be a better way to say it. Considering Uber and Lyft are burning venture capital and not generally profitable themselves, and Tesla’s largely in the same boat as a manufacturer, it’s all artificial competition even if you can reduce the per-mile costs.
I think a large part of the reason Uber is unprofitable is because of all the money they’re pouring into expensive programmers/engineers working on the self-driving research boondoggle. If they had stuck to just running their app with human drivers, they’d be at least a lot closer to profitable.
William Charles the price target is $15,000. At this point a target of $1,500 is bearish
$15k would make Telsa worth like $3 trillion lol
This is enough information to get the r/WallStreetBets G-Bears to buy TSLA puts.
