Our Verdict
If you’re already planning on making an amazon.com purchase you might as well take advantage of this offer. It’s not so spectacular that I would make a purchase that I otherwise wouldn’t, but there is almost always a few items in my Amazon basket so I’ll grab those and save $5.
If you’re struggling to get it to work here’s how to do it:

- Clear cart
- Search for item using add on
- Add items to cart
- Check out
- Make sure the $5 discount is applied
As always, you should be using a credit card that earns at a high rate for Amazon.com purchases. I’d recommend the Sallie Mae Mastercard or any other card that earns 5%+ (your best bet is often to purchase a gift card for Amazon.com and then use that).
