Since I don’t shop here that often, can these bonus cash amounts to be used to purchase other gift cards in the future or are there exclusions so they can’t be used on since I know the gift cards can be used to purchase gift cards in general.

Is anyone else concerned more retailers are going to go bankrupt and these gift cards become worthless?

(Spends $1500 in GCs on a new card)
“Woo! I reached my MS for that $150 bonus!”
(Retailer declares Ch. 7)
“At least I gots that $150 SUB!”

It’s important to be aware of the financial status of stores whose gift cards you own — sort of like the stock market. Back in the day I had some Toys R Us gift cards. As soon as it became clear they were going to go under, I sold them at a slight loss.

Of course. That’s why if you sit on cards, you should stick with reputable companies as well as those who have good security measures and less likely to get hacked.

Absolutely. I re-evaluated every single GC I owned when stores started closing left and right.
