Ritz-Carlton Maldives Fari Islands To Be Category 8 Property, Accepting Reservations

Ritz-Carlton Maldives Fari Islands is now accepting reservations starting May 1, 2021. This will be a category 8 property meaning it will cost:

  • 70,000 points per night during off-peak season
  • 85,000 points per night during standard season
  • 100,000 points per night during peak season

Sadly that means it won’t be eligible for the new five night Chase offer. The standard room is the Ocean Pool Villa, this is overwater. It looks like they will be charging a $900 transfer fee, although it’s not clear if there will be a cheaper speedboat option. Maldives does have a no quarantine option currently, but it requires a minimum 14 night stay.

Is it just the resort that requires a 14 day stay? The Maldives hasn’t required that for a few months now.

I can’t find any details about restaurants on site or club lounge. Would this rooms qualify for the Ritz Carlton Club certificates?

All of the other high end Maldives hotels are cat 8. Not sure why you’d think the Ritz would be any different…

That was your fault for thinking a Ritz Carlton (Marriott’s second most luxurious brand) opening in the Maldives (a luxury resort getaway) will cost 50k Bonvoy… lol
