Our Verdict
Best Buy and Staples are fairly popular, some of the others can be good deals too. Remember to save the offer first to your card before use. Make sure to use a card that earns at a high rate on grocery store purchases.

Too bad you can only use up to 10 rewards at a time. I only fill twice a month. $200 gc is the max I can buy.
Can’t the points be redeemed for some grocery purchases now?
Yes, the rewards can be redeemed on certain grocery purchases. But it rarely has “10 rewards for 20$ off” option. The best reward option I found is the “4 rewards for 7$ in meat department purchase” or “1 reward for 2$ in bakery purchase”
No MS opportunities with these that I can think of, so they’re just a cumbersome way to get a discount at those stores. Good if you’re headed out to buy something and don’t have a discounted gift card, but otherwise pretty “meh.” I suppose the Best Buy and Staples deals will appeal to somebody familiar with the discounted gas game.
my kids love Dominos pizza and we get $200-$300 worth of gift cards which lasts about 6 months and amex preferred card gets 6% back at grocery store. plus we play 2 player mode at the gas station to max out the $1 off per gallon… stax on stax on stax.

I think it’s worth while if you buy gas. If you figure that a $100 GC for Best Buy would land you 10 fuel rewards or $1 off/gallon. Assuming you buy 20+ gallons at a time, that’s a savings of at least $20. Plus, combine it with a high rewards grocery store credit card, like the Amex Gold Personal (4x pts) and there’s very little downside.
What’s the discounted gas game? And why is Best Buy gift cards good for it?
I just read on safeway.com that you can earn 100 Alaska miles for $300 in purchases on your Safeway(j4u) loyalty card. 10x points would be 1k miles for $300 of these giftcards.
edit: gcards seems to be excluded, but .3 mpd for regular spend better than a kick in the groin.

“Program valid for AK residents only”. Also, I’m not sure if the Alaska miles would also go 10x, but I guess it would be worth looking into if you live in Alaska.
