Our Verdict
500 points is worth like $2.5 now and it’s even harder to earn rewards points than before, but this might help you reach a redemption level so could be useful from that perspective.

By chance I walked past AT&T store again today, Samsung Pay now offers 1,000 points. I got the 500 points some two weeks ago too.

I drove by an att store the other day, didn’t even need to park, only slowed down a little bit and Samsung recognized it and awarded me with 500 points.
A huge devaluation over last August T-mobile Note 9 pre-launch 6,250 pts promo (at the time also offered $15 Grubhub codes for 6,250 iirc) perhaps it was just an “uncarrier” promo – yep didn’t even need to drink the Kool-aid after switching back to T-mo after 10 years. hahaha (but that promo was tsrgeted and only for T-mo customers w/Samsung phone)
Didnt use on Grubhub, actually using for coupon a pretty sweet deal picked up and used several $25 off codes (5K pts iirc) for use on Samsung website, for some pretty deeply discounted on sale Samsung Accessories, AKG Y50 BT headphones $25, Level U BT $15, Samsung fast charge wireleas pads $10 after codes and free s&h. As well as 5X on CIC.
But I’m glad they did extend the AT&T promo cause I’m about 400 pts from another $25 code – may pick up a pair of the new Galaxy buds. Cash out my remaining SPay points once and for all.
If only sam pay points were still useful…
I got the notification while at the mall on Thursday, but standing right outside the store didn’t work (I didn’t want to go inside and deal with salespeople).
Ironically, using a FakeGPS app as described by others here worked *perfectly*. 🙂

Just download FakeGPS from the play store. Place the pin in the middle of any AT&T store and hit the play button at the bottom right of the screen. With FakeGPS running, open Samsung pay and select Deals->Nearby. Now select the black cursor of the AT&T location on the Samsung pay map. Click the “Earn 500 points at AT&T” banner at the bottom then click Continue->Redeem. Now, you’ll have the success page. Easy as that.
Followed your tips and downloaded 1st one one playstore list, then followed your tips again, got 500 point on my brand new Samsung acct even store closed 1 hours ago. Thanks for helping me learning new stuff.
I followed the instruction but didn’t see the play button at the bottom right of the screen. Went to Samsung pay and got: you are still too far.
