[Select States] FNBO – New Cashback Card – 3% Cashback First Six Months Then 2% Cash Back

Update: 9/19/21: Card now just offers a flat 2% back.

First National Bank has launched a cash back Visa card.

Card Basics

  • Card earns at the following rates:
    • 3% unlimited cash back on the first 6 billing cucles
    • 2% cash back after that period
  • No annual fee
  • No sign up bonus
  • Apply in branch or online by January 9, 2019, to get this limited-time offer
  • Only available in select states/zip codes

Our Verdict

Some people could definitely take advantage of the 3% cash back during the first six months, Discover offers something similar on the Discover it Miles but that is the first 12 months. The main problem with FNBO is that they are inquiry sensitive so for the people this would be useful for would probably be denied. There are so many 2% cash back on all purchases cards these days that it’s not attractive after that first six month period. We will still add this to the best credit cards for every day purchases. As always if you want to know more about FNBO cards, read this linked post first.

William Charles I think this needs to be updated; I don’t see any state/zip code restrictions and the card has been rebranded as the ‘evergreen’; I’ve been using this for over a year now and it even has a $200 cashback on $1000 spent in the first three months  Chuck

I have had the FNBO Absolute Rewards business card for better than a year. That card does not show on my person FICO credit bureaus.

“3% unlimited cash back on the first 6 billing cucles”

“cycles” not “cucles”

Shame they are select states only now. I was hoping for the travelite card to be offered again. Anyways, not available in Mass.

The main difference between Pathfinder and Travelite is, you can redeem the points on Travelite for cash/statement credit! Everything else is same. I’ve pathfinder, I would have not applied for it if Travelite was available.

For the heck of it, punched in an Omaha, NE zip code (68111). It successfully redirected to a page containing an “Apply Now” button. Upon clicking it, the resulting application page which opened doesn’t otherwise seem to have any zip code restrictions.

Am not applying for *any* CC’s at this time (waiting to get below 5/24 so I can apply for some Chase CC’s), but if someone else (who has a zip code that’s not otherwise eligible) wants to apply, by all means be the DP for the rest of us! 🙂
