The Offer

Direct link to offer

Get $5, $10, or $15 extra cash back added to your account when you make a qualified purchase:

  • Get $5 Extra Cash Back with a $150.00-$249.99 purchase
  • Get $10 Extra Cash Back with a $250.00-$349.99 purchase
  • Get $15 Extra Cash Back with a $350+ purchase

You can get up to three $5-15 bonuses during the promotional period.

Shopathome offers this regularly; the trick is to know when a new offer started so you can do it again. This deal is new – it started on January 14 and runs through February 20.

The Fine Print

  • To qualify for the $5, $10, or $15 Extra Cash Back, the Qualified Purchase must be made by a ShopAtHome.com Member via a single order from a merchant for whom ShopAtHome.com offers cash back.
  • Limit of one (1) Promotional Extra Cash Back redemption per merchant per day; maximum of three (3) total Promotional Extra Cash Back redemptions during the promotional period.
  • Not Valid on Travel related purchases, categories or companies.

Our Verdict

Technically, to maximize you’ll want to wait to use Shopathome for $350+ purchases. Personally, I don’t overthink it and just whichever portal is highest and it ends up being Shopathome sometimes.

In any case, certainly use Shopathome if you see them at the top rate or tied for the top, and repeat three times. Just keep in mind there is a limit of one reward per merchant per day as noted in the fine print, so three NM purchases in a single day won’t get three bonuses, for example.

This seems worthwhile to use just for a few GiftCardMall purchases. My first $505.95 posted the $15 bonus + $5.05 cashback. Any reason not to do this 3 times?

My last purchases on ebay they didnt bother giving me the $5 bonus. I inquired and they replied with this:

Per the Ebay Cash Back Terms, “missing purchases cannot be researched.”

Real shady company there…

Chuck you have been on fire with these deals lately!

For another batch of NM GC’s::

Stacked the +$5 w/ $10 new user sign up + 9% @ NM = $33

+ $17 profit/offer x 3 cards = $51

+ 15 AS/$ x 400 = 6k AS miles

so: $84 cashback + 6000 AS + 450 cc pts for ~30min of work

in my experience these rewards don’t often post automatically. i had to inquire to get them awarded in the past…

These always post for me. In fact they NM offers for the first 2 days have already posted.

The tricky (shady?) part in the past was that they had this offer and it would expire at the end of the month. Then the next month, it was back! But… when you looked closer, it was just an extension, the “start” date was still from months back, so it was the “same” deal and almost everyone already had the 3x limit.. This technically correct in the terms, but bad in practice imo.

Well said. Same thing happened to me and after making a purchase and when it didn’t post I reread the terms and noticed the extension. I have to believe this was intentional. The thing that gets me is they did this several times so you know it wasn’t just a one time thing.

The terms say that it’s not available on gc purchases. Aren’t you worried that SAH will claw back the CB?
