Our Verdict

Looks like you can get the gift card without paying anything, but I suspect they will make it extremely difficult to cancel.

Haven’t answered to any of their messages but just received an email offer of $5 Amazon GC for filling out a survey, limited to first 250 respondents. In the words of Admiral Ackbar: “It’s a trap!”

Since these clowns disregard their own cancellation procedures, I guess I can continue disregarding their nasty emails. Good luck calling a burner phone, addressed to an empty lot, paid for with an expired gift card, in the name of Santa. Allstate is on my naughty list now.

They’re still emailing me every few days saying my payment failed and to pay up. Getting a tad concerned since I used real information for the accounts, but privacy CCs.

Keep ignoring and it will auto-cancel eventually. Mine auto-cancelled 3/28 although their reminder emails mentioned 3/31 will be the last date. lol

Signed up for quite a few accounts like ieatdogfood but only ended up receiving one gift card per person in my household. Fair enough. I contacted them by email to cancel the accounts, and at least one got an email back saying I need to call them to verify my identity in order to cancel. Haha, I am definitely not doing that. Talk about going against stated terms. I used disposable Oxygen cards for the accounts and was able to delete them before any charges hit. Also, I live in California, and you are supposed to be able to cancel any subscriptions online that were purchased online.

They tried to charge me a while ago. None of the charges went through and AFAIK my subscriptions are effectively cancelled.

Great promotion, terrible service and processes in place.

Guessing you had to be one of the first ones. Got a gift card for me and my wife. Canceled both accounts. They’ve got a problem with following through on canceling, though. So, I gave them expired cards to play it safe. They said they were unable to charge. Good! Then cancel already.

So I used a gift card with 1$ left to sign up and never received the $20 bonus. I sent an email to cancel but got the auto reply to call. They sent me an email yesterday that they couldn’t charge the card. Will they automatically cancel for me due to nonpayment or do I have to call to cancel? I had a feeling I may not get the bonus so I didn’t use my real name.

Sent them an email to cancel twice in February. Pending charge now showing on my card. Called them to cancel. They will issue a credit. Don’t think I would want to pay them to monitor me if they can’t even do a simple thing like that.

Looks like they started billing early on this. Got a pending charge yesterday on virtual CC so yanked the funding source. They’re such a hot mess.

They billed exactly on March 1st, which is probably an oversight that February has 28 days.

I have a lot of phone calls to make.

Finally stopped procrastinating and called customer support. They transferred me to a different department where I explained that I signed up on the 31st but the system might be reporting 2/1 as the signup date. She eventually got approval to put in the request to send me the gift card. 3 hours later I received the gc email. Now to cancel.

My comment said specifically:

I think anyone who signed up for an account using the gmail dot trick didn’t receive a GC.

I concluded this because I had several sign-ups with the . trick and only received the Amazon GC to the base email. Also, when I called to request GC manually with one of my . emails, I got the gc later to the base email which was a completely different account.
