Update 12/04/18: It seems like different locations have different deals. Some locations are offering a $20 third party gift card instead of the $20 American Express gift card. Seems like it might be restricted to premium outlets and not every premium outlet has an offer. Some third party gift cards available:

• Location one: Starbucks, Levi’s, Kate Spade, Michael Kors, Sunglass Hut, Vera Bradley
• Location two: Michael Kors, Levis Outlet, and Starbucks

It also seems like the purchase needs to be $150-$400 otherwise it won’t trigger the gift card offer.

Our Verdict

Limit of one per day is very annoying. Not sure if this will be available at all malls, or only selected malls. Simon Mall will also be offering $1 off Visa gift cards from 12/10 until 12/24 as well.
