Original post: According to a reliable source, US Bank plans to begin issuing an instant credit card number upon card approval which can be used in your mobile wallet or online.
There is no hard date on when this feature will come to card applications; they intend to begin this feature with the upcoming Altitude Go card, which is set to launch on June 8th, and eventually roll it out to all US Bank cards in the near future.
We’ll add this to our List of Credit Cards that Issue an Instant Card Number Upon Approval.Â
Update 6/5/20: Apparently the instant card number option is only for those processing a credit card application with their text-to-apply option which only can happen for an application processed by a banker, either in-branch, over the phone, or via email.
