Check the Promos section in your Southwest account for the following deal:
- Register to get 500 bonus Southwest points each month that you have 1,000 ‘Credit Card’ points post to your Southwest account. Valid for from December 2020 through through July 2021.
The Fine Print
- To be eligible for this bonus offer, you must register between 12/1/2020 and 6/30/2021 11:59 p.m. CT.
- Bonus points will be earned from registration date through promotion end date (6/30/2021).
- Once you have registered, you will qualify for and receive 500 bonus points each month during the promotion period of 1/1/2021 – 6/30/2021 that you earn at least 1,000 points from your Rapid Rewards® Credit Card which post to your Southwest Rapid Rewards account under the category of “Credit Card”.
- Bonus points earned from this promotion will count towards Companion Pass® qualification, but will not count toward A-List or A-List Preferred qualification.
- Maximum bonus point accumulation during the promotional period is 3,000 bonus points per Rapid Rewards account.
- New Cardmember bonus points earned from Chase and points transferred from Chase Ultimate Rewards to Southwest Rapid Rewards will not count toward your point earn minimum.
Our Verdict
Can’t hurt to register in case you meet the spend. You can get bonuses for up to 6 months (3,000 points) between December and July. Not sure if this is showing for all Southwest cardholders or targeted.
