Sprint Visa Credit Card Review – 2x Points On Sprint Purchases & No Annual Fee

Sprint in partnership with Home Credit have launched a new Sprint Visa credit card. You can only apply for this card at a sprint store.

Contents

Card Basics

  • No annual fee
  • 0% Introductory APR on all sprint purchases for the first 12 months. APR is then 19.74-35.74%
  • Card earns:
    • 2x points per $1 spent on sprint purchases
    • 1x point per $1 spent on all other purchases
  • No sign up bonus

How Much Are Points Worth?

Points are worth 1¢ each, you must redeem a minimum of $20. Points can be redeemed for Sprint upgrades, accessories and your monthly service bill. Points don’t expire as long as your account is in good standing and opened.

Our Verdict

I had low expectations for this card, although they were slightly higher than normal due to the free unlimited plan Sprint is currently offering. This card is basically useless, at best your earning 2% back on Sprint purchases and there are plenty of cards that earn a category bonus of up to 5x/5% on telecommunication purchases and other cards that earn over 2% on all purchases. The APY range is kind of crazy as well, up to 35.74% is very high. If you’re looking for an introductory APR offer then you might want to consider these other cards that also have no balance transfer fees and apply to all purchases, not just those at Sprint.

Scrapping the bottom of the barrel. I’d rather have a 2 liter coke bonus from a Walmart card… At least you get 3% on Walmart spend.
