This free shipping deal worked for me. With no nearby Staples stores, I was finally able to use a couple of GCs for some breakroom supplies that I will use at home.

You can use up to 5 GCs per order.

Other than buying Visa/MC giftcards, I’m a pretty infrequent Staples customer. But I did notice the other week that their shipping options had become pretty terrible. I remembered I had about $25 left in Staples gift cards from when they used to do all those rebates and I wanted to get rid of them. I looked at their website for “breakroom” deals, and there were a couple decent ones, but the shipping costs killed the deal. They used to at least ship to store for free, but that seems to have disappeared.
If you don’t find anything to buy with the current free shipping offer, I did notice last week in my local store that they had some very good “weekend specials” on breakroom supplies. Things like paper plates, paper towels, etc. were much cheaper than I’d ever previously seen at Staples. I haven’t seen these sales ever advertised, or reported online, so I don’t know if they’re running them every weekend.

Strange, I still see free in-store pick as an option with no min. The problem for me is that the nearest store is a bit too far away from me. Same problem with Lowe’s, but I know I’ll have to go to both at some point to get that Amex offer.

Just placed my first delivery order on staples.com a few days ago and had to add a bag of MMs to get over the $35 threshold for free shipping( One annoying thing I just found it is that they use their own fleet for deliveries and they require a signature.

You can print out the driver release form, sign that and leave it at your door. It is usually in the email that says your item has shipped. I do it even though I work at home just to avoid the bad timing that usually happens 🙂

Thanks for the heads up, I might just do that.

Ink prices online are about 20-30% cheaper than their instore price from my experience. Granted they’ll match their own prices but this is much more convenient.

You’re right, their online ink prices finally started getting closer to Amazon prices. I usually price match Amazon at the store but might do this. Added bonus is that they only charge state tax (almost 3% difference) when shipping.
