Man I swear the store near me never runs out. I must be one of the lucky ones. Stopped in again yesterday to finish the week strong and it looked like they put some more out.

My last day today without luck, the shelf was cleared for the $200 visa GC. So sad.

This is an update about my recent experience if you care to read. Few weeks ago, i contacted staples CEO office and gave them my feedback about their rudeness and difficulty of buying even one. 3 days ago, i went back 1st time since to take advantage of this fee free offer, i took 5 to counter, cashier didn’t call manager for permission, didn’t ask me questions and run all 5 one time and i was in and out quickly. Just out of curiosity, i made a special trip to staples today and again bought 5 one time without Manager approval or any difficulty. Something must changed due to it always require Manager approval whether by radio or in person before even for 1 VGC whenever on sale.

Just like the comments posted below, it became impossible to buy VGC ever since they increased the purchase limit to 5. I went to the Staples on the first day (Sunday) about 1 hour after the store opened. $200 VGC all disappeared.

You are not alone. Completely out of stock in 2 nearest stores (Looks like intentionally)

I went to my local staples today and they were totally gone. Which is weird bc I’ve NEVER had issues buying gift cards there before. Almost like management had just cleared them off the shelf. Drove 5 miles to the next staples- they had a ton in stock. Grabbed 5, at checkout the manager hovered over the guy ringing me up. She said to me : wow you must be making a lottttt of people happy with all these gift cards (just 5 gift cards but ok) then whispers to the guy at the register : make sure to never sell more than $2000 worth and also you need to check her ID. What gives? Don’t they want to sell the gift cards? I’ve also never had anyone check my ID to buy gift cards before. The whole thing made me feel like I was busted doing something shady. I mean, whatever, I’ll be back to buy 5 more tomorrow LOL

Just the opposing force, as always. They’re jealous you’re getting all those points!

At least where I live, it seems no one cares about buying gift cards. Every time I go to staples they have plenty of gift cards available. I already bought 5 today and the goal is to buy 15 more this week.

Stopped in today and it looks like they stocked up. Mostly young CS reps so I’m looking forward to cleaning them out. Not looking forward to cashing them all in though.

How have you been cashing them in? I’m in the NYC and my methods all dried up.

Not a true liquidation but if you have ConEd in NYC, they no longer charge fees for overpaying balances by CC.

Usual MOs at Wally World. Cashed in 15 cards today leftover from last deal at multiple stores. Had errands to run so it was convenient.
