Our Verdict
Assuming you cancel after the four $9 donations, you’ll end up paying $36 for 6,500 Swagbucks (which is worth at least $65) for a $29 profit, plus a bit of credit card spend. Another angle would be if you gain from the tax write-off; that could give you up to ~$15 of additional value here.
Remember to use your SB email for the donation and remember to cancel after four months if you no longer wish to donate. You can either call in to cancel or create an account and discontinue online.
Two caveats to beware of:
- With similar Swagbucks charity donations, I’ve found that the organizations will send you A LOT of spam mailers. I did contact a couple of them via email to get off the mailing list, hopefully that’ll work.
- With all Swagbucks offers, bear in mind that some people end up having problems either with the portal tracking or with Swagbucks deactivating their account for reasons which aren’t clear, so keep the risks in mind.
